About Me
Our Ethos
Meon Fit is all about encouraging and supporting people on their fitness journey, wherever their journey is starting.
Good health, strength and fitness gives you the ability to choose what you can do. It doesn’t have to be running marathons, it can be getting fit and healthy enough to enjoy a walk with your family, do the gardening or play football with the grandchildren. Whatever you chose to do.
There is a lovely quote; ‘our bodies are capable of anything - it’s our minds we have to convince.’ Often the hardest thing about exercise is putting your trainers on - that’s your mental strength right there. This is where Meon Fit comes in - we create a fun, engaging environment to help you get those shoes on and move! And our informed instruction ensures you see real benefits from the time you put in.
Whether you want the energy of a group to help push you forward, or a one-to-one to focus on specific areas. Whether you are training for an event, trying to get back on your feet or just want to be able to move your body with more confidence and enjoyment. Whatever path you may be on now, and however, you may want to change it, Meon Fit will support and encourage you every step of the way.
Gaining fitness is a continuous and constantly changing journey so embrace it and enjoy it! Join us and see how its done. You’ll be amazed at what you can do when you put your mind to it!
About Sarah…
I have always loved exercise and the beautiful outdoors. For the past 20 years I have been lucky enough to combine these - exercising in the stunning landscape of the Meon Valley where I live. About 5 years ago, I decided to take the plunge, follow my passion and study to be a personal trainer. It was a daunting leap but after two years of training and hard work, Meon Fit was born.
I know the challenges of getting fit and staying fit when you have a busy life. I have four lovely children and know first-hand the joy, chaos and limited personal time family brings. I did find getting out, with or without the children in tow, meant I came back feeling so much better and ready to tackle whatever life - or my children!- threw at me.
One of the biggest lessons I have learnt is that if you make your health and fitness a priority in your own life then you are setting an example to your children. I am immensely proud of my children who are largely grown and now all active young people.
My own journey has changed, especially over the last few years. What I didn’t expect as I got older was that my challenges would take me further out of my comfort zone and I would push myself to levels that my younger self had never even thought of! I have undertaken a variety of endurance challenges more recently, culminating in my completing an Ironman in 2022. I thought it would just test my physical abilities but actually it was my mental ability that was being tested.
I know how much an individual can do with support, the right environment, the right programme and belief in themselves. I understand that fitness challenges are different for every person and at every stage of life. I take great joy in helping people set and achieve their goals, whatever they may be. Fitness is an amazing journey - let me help make it more interesting, more enjoyable and more fruitful!
